Meth heads are zombies

Nurses Relations

Published

I think the current zombie craze in the media is really a commentary on meth heads, who are real life zombies. I base this on my frequents encounters with meth heads as an ER nurse.

Think of it, they are the living dead, right? So, they are zombies. I think that the medical community needs to add zombie as an approved diagnosis.

Walking Corpse Symdrome is an actual diagnosis.

Ha I remember one night when I had a guy that fit that description exactly. Its sad. We had to close the door to his room after we emptied it because he was trying to steal face masks and gauze out of the room.

He apparently was claustrophobic and just kept walking into the glass door. It kinda gave me a walking dead vibe. Glad the cops were there...

I h truly hope you find another profession. Your statement about individuals suffering from substance abuse difficulties smacks of a total lack of compassion and empathy. I would fire you.

Had to look up that Walking Corpse Syndrome as well, it sounds way creepier when described that way instead of by it's other name [Cotard's Syndrome]. Gee whiz, what an awful, and weird condition! Pretty close to an actual zombie diagnosis, except for the whole eating brains thing.

Funny article!! Used to work in a pain clinic- meth heads are not as scary as people on bath salts- they seriously might be zombies- super strong- and psychopathically crazy!!
