Minot ND information

U.S.A. North Dakota

A few weeks ago someone posted some info about Minot hiring nurses. I can't seem to find the post and was wondering if anyone recalls the name of the staffing agency to contact. I'm interested in finding out more. Also if anyone has any insight into what life is like there (I know it's cold!!!) I would love to hear it.

Hi jenn8500

Are you now working with trinity? How did you get started with finding a place to rent? Me and my friends recently had a job offer from them but we have difficulty finding an apartment. Do you have suggestions that would really help us a lot. Thanks...

Hey Denise,

I also got an offer but had to postponed it due to housing issue.

I am considering doing this when I graduate in December. I have LPN experience, but do NOT want to work in LTC... would never travel up there for that and for that pay... however the hospital positions have great potential. Interested to know if the hospital has come up with housing opens yet. I read that they are working with bringing over nurses from the Philippines to help fill the gaps... of course they will need housing as well.

I also looked at Fargo which seemed to have a lot of nursing position and more housing too.

Hi AZMOMO2

i was wondering what hospitals in the fargo area are hiring. i'm looking to move as long as i can find housing, unlike trinity @ minot.

thanks

Moving single or with family? I am married but depending on the situation and housing may have to think about leaving hubby here while things get settled if I did manage to get a job out in Minot or Fargo.

Alternately on the sanford site were jobs in SD too... which does have housing :-)

Thanks for the info.

I'm married with a daughter, if i can find good housing then i will move with my family, otherwise i gotta go alone (which really sucks) but you gotta do what you gotta do. I still have a pending offer with trinity in minot, only if i can find housing.

goodluck with the job search :)

Did they still offer relocation or sign on bonus? Also, is it for Med/Surg or a specialty? Are you a new grad?

Yes, they are still offering sign on bonus ($3000 for full time/ $1500 for part time) and relocation ($1500) now. Btw, Is there anyone who is moving to minot in october?? I just got a job offer from them but can't find housing.......:( I need a room or roommate..!!

Yes it sounds like they have jobs but no where to live once you actually get there. I have heard that the cost of renting a place there (if you can even find a place) is extremely expensive. Plus they will probably be very picky as to who they rent to. I bet they won't allow any pets either at these rental places. A life without my pets is no life at all. I personally wouldn't go there for these reasons.

Yeah i'm a new grad rn, its for med-surg. Yeah they do offer relocation and sign on bonuses

How much per hour did they offer you, roughly? If you don't mind me asking.

I know this question was for RNnurse84 but I had also an interview with med/surg manger few weeks ago and she said 20. something cents/hr for new grad RN.
