Hi, we are a military family and will be relocated next July. Unfortunately, we have been given 16 different states as potential residences.

Can someone point me in the right direction of an accredited college with a nursing program? I would like to stay the community college route but, am open to looking into a University. I currently live in Oregon and have completed all of their required pre-requisites for the local community colleges. However, all states are different and I am struggling to complete this vast amount of research in order to use the upcoming fall term as effectively as possible. If you are familiar with this area and could provide me with some local schools and a link to their nursing program I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you

  4. If you end up coming to North Carolina, having a CNA1 is a pre-req before gaining acceptance into almost all nursing programs. You must list on the NC registry as cna1 before being accepted into nursing program. That is, if you decide to do the community college route. So if you haven't done that yet, you should probably start on that route. It is extremely competitive out here especially in the Charlotte area. Are you trying for ADN or LPN???
  5. I want to eventually get my BSN, so it would have to be an ADN program at least. Does you CNA1 have to be current and does it have to be from the state of NC?

    Thanks
  6. If you come south into York County (just down 77 from Charlotte) you don't need the CNA to start a nursing program. The York Tech/USCL program is fantastic. There is a significant waiting list but I think that's the case most anywhere now.
  7. I start Mercy School of Nursing in January & I do NOT have my CNA1.
  8. Have you checked out Queens?
