Guilford Tech Fall 2012 Nursing Program - Page 5
Register Today!- Feb 15, '12 by ark88Victoria, I hope they will put the applicants that passed the Teas test before applicants with higher MAR points and not passing it with a 66? I would think it would be a little unfair.... Either way, that would be good news for us?! haha
- Feb 15, '12 by Ready2beAcceptedI love gtcc and feel I would get great training to be a nurse if I can go there! But i just don't see how it is fair if they did lower it and the ppl who passed like me with only 42 points get booted out bec they decided after deadline to lower the pass grade? I would of waited untill I had the points from this semester to apply and wouldn't be behind in my studies from busting my butt to study the teas material Ps. Sorry if there are a lot of missed spelled words and run On sentences and etc... I usually respond from my phone and its auto correct and I do not get along lol
- Feb 15, '12 by ark88I agree 100%....if anything they will either accept all applicants who passed the Teas test then accept those with the highest MAR points or accept those with the highest Teas scores that are not passing...... Who knows. It would definitely sadden me if they did boot us out just because of lowering the score...esp AFTER due date like you said and it did put me behind in my studies as well because I studied HARD for that teas exam. Taking 5 classes (3 being sciences) AND studying for that exam almost broke me. haha
- Feb 15, '12 by amgladwell12I agree, I really hope those of us that passed the teas get accepted first, because we worked hard to pass that dang teas test!! It seems like the only fair way to do it, if they are going to do it. And I'm like ya'll, my grades have dropped thanks to studying so much for the teas and taking the CNA state board, and trying to get everything in by the deadline.
- Feb 15, '12 by MoggetAnyone remember the name of the man who did the info sessions? I'd email/call him and ask since he was the director of admissions and would be the best source of info about this TEAS V thing. It doesn't seem plausible to change the requirements after the due date, and, if they did, I'd assume they would accept those who passed and fill the remaining seats with those who came closest to the score and have the highest MARs.
- Feb 15, '12 by Forsyth11I agree. If they can't fill all the seats then they should def. consider the people who passed the TEAS first before considering the people who have high MAR points but did not pass the TEAS. Not to be bias or unfair, but if you have such high MAR scores, then you should of been able to pass the TEAS with at least a 66%. If you studied the ATI book, and carefully attempted to do the TEAS test then you should be able to get at least 66% or higher.
- Feb 15, '12 by readytonurse01Hi Guys great forum!! From what I've seen from previous classmates they have gotten in with 40s so I'm sure you guys are set! Does anyone know what the past ranking points have been for FTCC? Hi Victoria!! =)Ready2beAccepted likes this.
- Feb 15, '12 by readytonurse01Also I think alot of people including myself would be highly upset if teas scores were suddenly not a factor.. I didn't think I would get my cna testing and teas V taken in time. If that were the case, I would have applied instead of waiting till the Fall!!
- Feb 15, '12 by Forsyth11Readytonurse01, I also applied to FTCC. I don't know the range because they said it varies every year depending on the applicant pool.
