Anyone applying for the ABSN program at Winston-Salem State University this year? Just wondering if there were others out there who would be in the same boat.

Has anyone heard of funding this year?

Does anyone know how they rank applicants?

Can anybody tell me more about what the schedule is like? I have talked to another girl interested in the program and a coordinator for the ABSN program and they both told me that you would have class Monday-Sunday????? I really want to do this program since I already have a bachelors and don't want to spend 2 years to get an ADN... I am looking to apply for Fall 2015 and would really appreciate any responses! Thanks so much!!

For the first few months, you're in class four days a week. Once you're finished with the intro courses, you typically have two days in the classroom and two days in clinical. Schedules can vary (in a recent peds class some students had only one day a week off), but you're definitely not expected to be in class or clinical for seven days a week.

How many months is the program? Do you get breaks in between the courses? Live close to WSSU and considering their ABSN program. What do you like about the program?

Has anyone heard when we'll find out if we've been accepted? Last year found out on Oct 11th and year before that was even earlier--based on old forums.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I am surprised it has taken so long. I checked the mail all day before I realized it was Columbus Day.

No, unfortunately I haven't heard anything either. I called WSSU on Friday and all the lady told me is that letters would be mailed out before the end of the month. I really hope it will be way before then. In previous years they found out as early as last week. Hopefully we will hear something soon..I need to find out so I can start making some decisions. I'm sure many of us are in that same boat. Keep me posted!

I called the nursing department this morning , they said letters are going out today and tomorrow but they haven't decided if they would notify applicants by email as well......nervous but excited :-) time has come GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
