Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone applied to Carolinas College of Health Sciences for the fall of 2012 semester?? I have been placed on the wait list. Has anyone else applied and got accepted or wait listed?? I am really hoping that I get accepted.. I would appreciate any information about the school especially for students that are attending or have attended CCHS. Thanks

So it seems as though you really don't have much control over your schedule. I have a feeling this program will be one of the hardest I have ever done. I am prepared to do what it takes though. I am even considering on campus housing so that I can be away from distractions at home. Thanks for all of the advice!!!

You really don't have any control over your schedule. All NUR 101 students (not sure how many for spring--I think around 64?) will have the same schedule for that class (class M/Th/F and clinicals T/W) and most end up in the same A&P lecture/lab since you can only choose the one that doesn't conflict with nursing class. Classes are hard and the instructors expect a lot; however, you should never feel like you're not going to make it through. The support from classmates, instructors, and the Support Center are always there to help you be successful.

I have a 3.8 GPA, I made a B in Math. It was not a higher level Math though, just algebra.

Well shoot, if there is not a specific cut off then I feel better. I did do fairly well on my ACT, and I have heard the TEAS is not as bad as the ACT. Did you take the ACT/SAT as part of their requirements? Did you find the TEAS math easier than the ACT math.

Sorry for the bombardment.

The ACT didn't exist in 1985 when I graduated high school. LOL The English sections of TEAS were really easy for me. I scored 100 on those sections. The math wasn't horrible; luckily I had taken math/dosage calculations recently. I reviewed the science portion and I had just finished A&P 2 and am in micro now so that helped a lot!
