Soon to be new grad near Charlotte/Gastonia

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

HI,

I am new to this forum. I will be graduating from an ADN program in May, and am trying to figure out where I want to work. At least ten students in my program already have jobs, and I feel like the good ones are going to be taken. Anyway, I am looking for a hospital that has a new grad program in the ICU. Anyone know of any? So far, I know Cleveland Regional Medical Center has one, and Gaston Memorial and CMC hires new grads into the step-down units. Any input as to what it's like to work at these hospitals, or anywhere else? I appreciate any information you have to share.

Hey,

Presbyterian is taking new grads in their ICU Departments. I know you can apply online. Sorry I do not know the web site off the top of my head.

Good Luck !!!!:coollook:

I work at CMC. New grads are hired into the NICN and a limited number are hired into Peds ICU (I was 1 of 5 new grads in 2005). I'm not sure about the other ICU's in the hospital, though.

I really enjoy working for the system -- good luck!!:)
