Relocating to NC (Duke)

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

Hello!

I'll be moving to North Carolina this summer for my new grad nurse position at Duke University Hospital. I've been looking for apartments around Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for relatively safe and friendly neighborhoods? Or which of those three areas would be best?

Thank you (:

I hope this question helps others relocating as well!

I too am moving down to North Carolina to start in the new grad program! What position did you get?

While down there this past weekend I talked to some locals to get there ideas of place to live. First is to avoid East Durham. Most of theme recommended around Duke campus or downtown area, which has a lot of great apartments. They said to avoid Raleigh unless you like the big city feel. Chapel Hill is nice, but a little more money than Durham. I have a connection down there that I'm waiting to hear back about apartments in Durham. Once I get them, I'll post it to hear or message them to you

Congrats on your position! I'll be in the Surgical ICU. How about you?

& that would be awesome if you could let me know what they say. Thanks!
