Johnston Community College 2010 and TEAS

U.S.A. North Carolina

So what do you think that minimum score would be to get into Johnston Community College ADN program for 2010? I did just ok on my TEAS. I may have about 95 points total. But I scored 87% on the TEAS with a score of 83.5. One of my friends talked to admissions and she mentioned that in order to be competitive this year you MUST have scored atleast an 80. Also I am wondering when to expect letters of admission...or rejection....I am hoping to hear sooooon after the May 15th deadline to be on the Nurse Aid registry.

Jen

I did turn in a certificate of my CNA certificate.

I no for sure that they were sent off at the same time.

Oh crap, I sent in a COPY of my CNA certification and even included the printed out NCBON page online that showed my CNA registry number and date...I thought that was enough for what they were asking for, if they wanted the actual original certificate with the textured seal on it, then I might have made a mistake...would they really not consider me as a candidate over that? Also, my fiance mentioned that if they mailed it by "bulk third rate mail", which is cheaper when sending out bulk mail, then it could take a couple more days for some people. Priority mail put in the mail truck first, then IF there is room for extra mail they will stuff some third rate mail in..so it could take a couple extra day for there to be room for the bulk mail.

I really feel sorry that you guys have not heard any news yet. I know how difficult it was for me to wait for a reply. I hope you hear news soon.

Congratulations to everyone that did get in, I am very excited for you all!:yeah: I am just still in a state of panic for myself LOL:D

I think JCC asked for a certificate in order to verify that a CNA class and clinical were completed. In the past some people have challenged CNA certification.

Maybe your letters were lost. I don't know. I would call the school Tuesday. Perhaps both of you will receive news soon. I really hope that you do hear something.

Well I am guessing that perhaps there is a waitlist. Maybe an unofficial waitlist. And that if some of the people don't accept by 6/1 we second string people will be called in. I just hope that I make the team!

I hope you make the team also Jennifer. Whatever happens continue to pursue your dream. I was not accepted into the JCC nursing program in 2009, however I finished all my prerequisites and scored reasonably well on the Teas and was accepted this year. You can also. Good Luck!:)

I just got my mail today and still no letter...

I just got off the phone with ****. She looked up my address and said she sees that the letter was mailed out. I explained that I never got one, and she said she will send another one out to me. I asked her, "If the deadline to accept/decline is today, and you are just now mailing out another copy of my letter, then how can I possibly meet that deadline?" She said that people that got accepted, and have not replied, will get a phone call from JCC today to confirm that they accept/decline. Then, they send out another string of letters for the runner-ups. At this point, unless I get a phone call today, then I doubt I got in.
