Anyone applying for Spring 2012 Gtech or Ftech adn program? The deadlines are fast approaching and I would like to compare points etc since this is the first semester to enter using the TEAS V. I have around 150 points at Ftch...anyone applying now have something similar? More? Less? My nerves are about to get the best of me if the deadline doesn't roll around soon!! :uhoh3:

Thank God! Someone posted that last semester they took points from 157.1-191.0...that would take almost a perfect score on the TEAS! and version 5 was tough. Good to know that those points were using the 4.0 version!!

Thanks cdkjasso! that's not too bad

Hey Leighann... yes I applied at both FTCC and GTCC. Last semester I was 2.9 pts away i had 154.3 pts.... I was no. 7 on the alt. list but never got called... so i'm hoping this will be my year lol.

I'm honestly curious to see how many applied to FTCC with their TEAS req. being so low, those who might not have made the gtcc cutoff might apply to forsyth.

Oh I didn't even think about that. I assume people will think its easier to get in but highest scores should still win in the end. Hopefully this time will be your time, 2.9 away, that must have been awful, I will keep you in my thoughts as we move into the next few weeks of waiting! I have decided I am def. going to retake the TEAS just to be sure that I get the most points I can, some of my class grades are not hitting on a whole lot because I wasn't a totally set on nursing until just recently so C or better was good enough for me :yeah:LOL.

Is Gtcc quick with their letters? Isn't ftcc SUPER fast, like a week?

Thanks and I will do the same... we're all in this race together lol. and yes I was not happy, especially since they normally go through all of their alt. i don't think they called any last semester honestly, because normally they say how many were accepted from the alt. list during info sessions and this time they didn't even mention them.

GTCC is to send out their letter 4 weeks from end of day tomorrow and FTCC you will know by the end of the following week if you're accpeted if not sooner... they are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than GTCC.

So i went in last night before admissions closed because i was doing my last min. freak out making sure everything was submitted and accounted for, and was told that only a small amount of ppl passed their exam that was given on the deadline date so it's going to be interesting to see the outcome.

I have an email into a "Kathy" about scheduling for the night/evening and I threw in the "so how many applicants were there" question...this was last night, I will let you know if she responds to that question to see if the answer you got matches up after a whole full day. Its interesting they said that about the test, that's awful for those people banking on the test on the deadline date

I will honestly say that I mainly relied on my pre-reqs for the TEAS...studied over labor day weekend. I went knowing I could pass but knew I probably wouldn't do great. I got an 80, which isn't great but I REALLY didn't want to take it again. After my test (at GTCC) I walked over to admissions, the lady asked, "did you just take your test? how did it go?"...of course I said "it went ok, not great." then she said "OH! It went wonderful." This made me feel a lot better...apparently people aren't scoring very high or even passing it. When I took my copy over to FTCC, the lady in admissions said that it was the highest one she has seen. What??? an 80, really??? Here I was thinking I did average. I think the TEAS 5 is really stumping some of the applicants. Guess this is a good thing for us!!

Yes please let us know what she says... i was actually glad she answered my question, you know sometimes they beat around the bush so to say... but i guess with this version of the test being as hard as it is to pass, i guess she felt it was ok to answer.

girl an 80 is awesome... i got a 70.... twice lol.. that's why i'm debating taking it over at FTCC... I swear the one at GTCC was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier. I told the lady who did my MAR review at GTCC that this version of the TEAS is plain ol' wicked lol.... after taking it the first time you would've sworn i didn't study and then when I took it at GTCC i was like &^*(% why can't i get higher than a ******* 70.

wow i didn't even curse and they bleeped me out lol

Hey guys!

I am also applying to FTCC for the spring. I take my TEAS test on Monday so I am not sure how many point I have at the moment. It made me nervous when she told us in the information session that she couldn't give us a point range.....but we can figure that out on our own! haha. Im really nervous about the test I have been studying like crazy! I will let you all know how it goes and how many points I have after Monday!!
