I am starting the pre-nursing program in August. Can anyone tell me about the school? What did you like about it or not like about it?

I am not a Carolinas student, but I do attend Cabarrus college of health sciences. I will say I have heard nothing but good things about CCHS. I hear that its challenging, but you gain good clinical experience at CMC. Just be prepared to work hard. Very hard. They offer the 80/20 loan which makes them attractive to some people. Anyways congrats on being accepted to the school, I hear that is a challenge for some as well. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck.

i graduated in may, 2005 from cchs. it is an excellent school, i can highly recommend it.

good that you are doing the pre-nursing program. i did that and found that it was almost impossible to take more than the nursing class each semester. i had to do the english class and the required developmental psych class (forget what's it's really called) along with the nursing class and just that one extra class was a real beast.

the nursing program is very tough, no kidding on that. i did manage somehow to graduate summa cum laude -- i had relatively little life. i saw my family occassionally. i also worked 32hrs a week as a unit secretary (my unit & nm was very, very supportive & flexible with my schedule).

best of luck to you!
