Is anyone doing Excelsior under the New Curriculum?? - page 2

I was wondering who on here was doing the new curriculum after October 1st. I just took the first nursing exam: Essentials in health care safety and applied to the school. I automatically get credit for exam 2 because I am a LPN.... Read More

    I am just starting this course, i was going to do the rn bsn thru indiana state and college network but i think i will do asn instead.Does anyone understand what the difference in the clinical is, what are the two parts of it.

    Iam a male lpn who is going through excelsior,,,,my grades have been good, although i went and took essentials oh health/safety without studying, figuring i knew2 it...i failed miserably...since i have been studying the excelsior study guide....studygroup101 notes, and a good old fashioned(but up to date) med surge book, geared toward whats being tested...i test feb 4th 2010,,,my goal is one test every 4 weeks after that.....any feedback or info, bring it on,,,,iam under new curriculum...

    No matter how smart you are, You still have to put some effort into studying fot the test. I think you will pass the next time since you have some study material. I also recommend the EC pratice test. They really measure how well you are doing and some of the questions are on the actual test. My advice is to make sure you know the material in the study guide before you take the test. I think you plan is good. Good Luck!

    Come join us on the distant Learning board under the students tab. There are alot of EC grad and people doing the program over there. I graduated from EC Feb 2008. It took me a year to complete the program. Its a great alternative for the crazy wait list to get into regular nursing programs in NC.
