Anyone apply to Rex UNC 2013 new grad?

U.S.A. North Carolina

I applied to the Women's and Childrens new grad spot. Other were open too (ED, critical care, intermediate care, perioperative...) Just wondering if anyone has heard back? It just closed on Friday but I have heard some of the ED applicants were hearing back in November. Anyone else....?

AND they are very slow.

Rex is not slow..actually very busy!!!

Anyone hear anything for the new grad program this summer?

Not yet! I know they were only hiring 1 person for the med/surg ICU position and that person has already been hired (I know someone who works on that unit). But I am not sure about the other positions. I really hope to hear something soon!

Me too! This is crazy!

Specializes in ICU.

I applied there at the end of March and haven't heard anything back either. I had a classmate apply there really early and she got an email saying she was being considered and was a top candidate, but she hasn't had an interview scheduled there yet or anything, so I figure I still have a chance.

What unit did she apply for?

Sorry I know this is so late since your post but what is a ADN? and what school did you receive it from?

A lot of Rex positions are filled internally. They were on a hiring freeze up until about March or April of this year. They are a magnet hospital and the employees tend to advance from regular floors to ICU or ER from what I've seen .

I think they were trying to say that Rex is slow in their hiring process
