Any one been to ECPI in Raleigh, NC? What are the advantages and disadvantages of it

I live right by the campus and am able to get into the lpn program quick, but I do not know much about it.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the program?

I recently applied to ecpi in Greenville SC the process is quick once you speak to an advisor take the teas test. I used the test prep website and study the reading and math only. Once you pass the test you see financial aid then once you have been approved you fill out application and pay app fee then you have an interview with director to make sure you are a fit for the program. I start April 8th orientation is April 4th. Good luck!

I am in the process of admission to the LPN program at ECPI Raleigh, nc. My start date is April 8 if everything goes okay with the PIN meeting with the DON!! Good luck if you are in a program or are wanting to start. I'm a little nervous but really excited!

I am a recent ECPI Raleigh graduate (December 2012). I'm sure you don't need me to tell you how difficult the program is because I was pretty sick of hearing it by the second time I went to campus. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the program because all programs have their problems. I do suggest to you that you take advantage of staying after for help if you do not understand what is said in class. This will only benefit you, as well as look good on you. If you have a problem with attendance, try to fix that before starting. This is a big problem with students and they do not have any forgiveness for hours. I had quite a few people in my class that had to repeat the class because of attendance issues when they had good grades. You can only repeat the class once, so hopefully if you fail because of attendance or even a 79.4 (they don't round) then you will be given one more chance and that one chance does not matter if it is your 13th month or first class. The teachers when I was about to graduate were really good and knew their stuff. Clinicals are another thing with clinical...you can miss 1 clinical in two terms (10 weeks) so if you plan to miss one, be sure you will not be late or you will be sent home and dropped from that term (again that happened to a few students) this program is pretty intense. Plan to have a quiz, test or both every day (so studying is important each night) the two terms that tend to be the most difficult are Maternity/Pediatrics and pharmacology II. Those two are pretty difficult because the amount of information that is crammed into 5 weeks. For pharmacology II you have 43 chapters in five weeks and same for maternal-child. A lot of people go here because its a fast way to become an LPN without waiting periods, not gonna lie, that's why I went but it is no easier than any other nursing school. I hope this helps and I didn't push you away from going because it is worth it in the end when you pass you NCLEX with the minimum number of questions and left the place not feeling like you knew one thing on that test but you ended up passing because you knew your stuff.
