Accepted into ADN program!...now what about my class schedule?

Hello all! As of yesterday, I received my acceptance letter from AB-Tech in Asheville, NC for their Fall 2013 ADN program! I have been working my tail off for a year and a half for this moment :)

I'm a bit confused, though, about the NUR course schedules. All the literature says "Class of 2015" - but I've already completed all the general courses that are required for the program. I'm only lacking the NUR classes (there are 7 total, 5-10 credit hours each). Should I not graduate in 2014? Does this mean that the college expects me to be a nursing student for two more years? Yikes...I mean, I like the prospect of being able to spread it out over a longer period of time to ease the workload but seriously - I'm ready to graduate! :)

I'm wondering if the "2015" is for students who haven't completed all of the general requirements in the program? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

No - you have two more years of nursing school ahead of you. The nursing component is sequential - in other words, you must complete fundamentals (1 semester) before you can do med-surg (1 semester) and med-surg comes BEFORE OB/peds. Hate to break it to you.......

NO...you will not graduate in 2014......most nursing courses are set in sequence in a certain rotation with your clinical labs and school will not let them vary Since you have taken the other courses you will be able to focus all your attention to the nursing courses since you have completed you pre-reqs.

So....yes you will be in school 2 more years.

Thank you all for your responses! The next two years are probably going to fly by and taking two years to finish instead of one will probably do wonders for my sanity :)
