New to NC, looking to meet some people

Hi everyone, I am a Graduate Nurse, waiting on my ATT. Have a job waiting for me at CMC in Downtown Charlotte working nights, Med-Surg. Yeah, I'm one of those crazy night owls. I just moved to the Charlotte area in mid December, after graduating Nursing School. I'm also a newlywed (the reason for the move).

Just wanted to say hi, and meet some people in the area. If there is anyone that wants to get together to study for the NCLEX, let me know. I am having trouble motivating myself, as I am out of my element. I currently live in Mooresville, but will be moving to Cornelius by the end of the month.

Would love to hear from anyone.

Hi, I will be moving to the Ballantyne area of Charlotte at the beginning of February. I'm migrating from Jamaica. I presently have a masters in Psychology but I'd like to enroll in Nursing school as soon as I get there to change careers. I'm also gonna be a newly wed as of Jan 27 and will be essentially starting a new life. I would love love love if there were some of you who were interested in networking with me. I don't have much to offer except I'm a great cook and good shopping buddy! I'm nervous and excited about the move...looking forward to hearing from you guys.

Thanks for the well wishes. I am finally motivated to study. I am in full on study mode. Take the NCLEX on Feb 1st and start at CMC on March 3rd. I am looking forward to it. Any insight into what to expect during orientation would be appreciated. Is it a full week of hospital based orientation, then on to the unit or what? I will let y'all ( hows the accent ) know how I do on the NCLEX.

Your accent is very nice indeed. However to live in NC you must also learn to say "preciate it" typo intentional no a in the word appreciate there. You must also learn to drop the s of the word cents when you are getting change back. It is not 48 cents but cent.

hahaha just kidding. I used to live in Greensboro when I first moved south from NY. All my NC friends made me say ball and dog in exchange for me making them say preciate it constantly.

Becky,

Good luck on your big day tomorrow~!

Just got home from looking at places in your area. Hopefully will be there within the next year.

Anyone know of psych facilities/units in Mooresville area?

The house is getting cleaned up and ready to put up on the market.

Good Luck Tomorrow!!!
