Hey, I'm so glad that your giving me all this info. I'm reviewing for the test this whole week. I'm going next week to take it. I don't know if I would still be able to get into the January program though. And yes she told me about the fee $250 but I didn't know for orientation you had to bring another $250. Wow! I'll make sure to see what my score is before I exit. i have 2 kids and I already know this is going to be hard so I put my mind on it that will completely apply myself to this program. I really want to bridge to RN right afterwards when the program comes out, but I can't wait to get into the field. I have the NET Guide, it's a good little book. Thanks for the offer though. I hope I can start in April, I'd like to start ASAP. Well, I appreciate all of your input. Give me your email so we can exchange numbers and talk sometime and meet when I get there. Thanks.

As a current student, I heard you had to work as an LPN for a year before they will accept you into the RN bridge program. Also, when you come out you will only have an associates degree. Personally, for me, when I am finished at Eastwick I am going to apply to a 4 year college and get my BSN. By the way, I have 3 kids and I am pregnant with my 4th... It is doable, but you need a tremendous support system. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the info. Wow, your amazing to do everything that you do. But, it's all about will power and support, your right. Well, about the LPN to RN, the Hackensack site as of now won't have the bridge to RN only the Ramsey site does. I spoke to Chris there the Admissions Coordinator and I asked him the same thing and he said you can go right into it. I will have to confirm that but I have other options where I can just go right into it anyways. The Rockland County Community College and it's cheaper. I met someone there recently when I went to inquire that did the same thing and was a student there. I will also be getting my BSN but want to work for a hospital 1st and get them to pay for it and do the accelarated program which is an extra year and not 2. I have big plans. I just can't wait till all is said and done. I will be tremendously applying myself to achieve my dream. Thanks.

If I could start over, I would just go do the 2 year RN program. I chose the evening course and it's a year and a half. Plus, with the pregnancy I will have to take time off and I will fall behind. So, hind sight is 20/20 right? Anyway, I like the school. I haven't had any problems, I just have a complaint about the food, nothing but vending machines, so bring your own!! Unless, you like fast food all the time, that's near by...

Ughh yeah no cafeteria. There's some decent places to eat but that gets expensive. And you don't have much time, usually 20mins. And I was told that for the bridge you have to work for at least a year and they're taking students that graduated the LPN program first from there only. So if you graduated there in 05, you'll get in before someone who graduated '07 or something like that.

Lol, and that's all we think about when were pregnant. I will take your advice. LPN bridge to RN is the same amount of time. It's just easier to get into. So, is your name Star? I'm Celi by the way, which is my user name.

What else is near by? I am tired of the same old BK and McyD's... Do you attend during the day?

Celi, my name is not Star, just my user name If I could figure out how to send you a private message I would tell you. I like to remain somewhat anonymous in the event that some one might read what I post

It's ok, you can email me which is my user and send it to yahoo.com. We can chat more privately there. But, if you read my threads I will be starting in the day. But, not til April because I need to go in and take this test next week. So, up the street from Target is a Boston Market which is healthier for you and there's also a diner across the street from the store too. You have to drive a little down more though. So, take care and good luck with the baby. Talk to you soon.

Star, I go during the day. There's a few delis ... if you go all the way up the road there's Starbucks, two delis, a pizza place... Bagel Boys is really, really good. Subway gives discounts. Tell them you're a HoHoKus student and you get a $5.00 lunch.
