Alert Re: Bergen Community College Day Program
Hello all:
Does anyone knows what is the minimum overall score on HESI A2 for the evening program at Bergen CC? I heard 80% is fine to get into the program.
Thanks to all.

I heard that the cut line was mid-80s. But that is all hearsay. The admission office or the nursing department will not give you a straight answer, so don't bother. I think the only thing we can do is wait for another month or so.

Assuming you are waiting on the acceptance letter, you can find out a few days in advance by checking your Major Status on WebAdvisor. With me, I was classified as a "General Studies" major. After passing the exam, this was changed to Nursing about 1wk before I actually received the letter from the Nursing Dept that I was in the program.

I only took it last saturday Oct 31, and the last day for everyone to take the exam is Nov 15. So I guess I need to check it after Nov15 to check on webadvisor.
Let's see what happens...!!!

Thank you.

I also took my test last friday the 30th. I'm kinda excited to see whether i will get in or not but I don't want to expect too much about it because I might just get disappointed if I won't get in. Well, I guess all we have to do is wait...(sigh).

Let me correct myself, after taking the exam and having my score compared to others, I made the cut. But I took the Accuplacer. This was the last time it was given I understand. I am in Level 2 now.

Not sure on how things are done now, but when I applied, the determining factor was the exam. I have friends with better GPAs than me, but didn't do as well on the exam, that were denied. One friend had a 3.8, and a few points below my score while I entered with a 3.4.

I thought everything would be considered. I guess this is why they told me, no letters of recommendation were necessary. The exam was the determining factor.

Now, things are different, just not sure how different besides the test itself. Now they use Hesi. I don't if your GPA makes any difference.

I guess this time they made this new admission process more complex because based on this new admission exam (Hesi A2), the class average scores surprisingly are not too impressive which makes the cut at a lower score. That's just what I think.
