what do you need to be a NICU R.N.

Hello to all of you wonderful NICU Nurses out there....I am a ADN nursing student that is starting my nursing program in another month. This type of nursing has always been of interest to me. From what I understand you guys have the greatest hearts and have hard jobs. What type of schooling is need to work as a NICU nurse? I have a few friends that are R.N,'s and say that they could not stomache working with the small babies. I would just like to hear why you guys love working the NICU and how to go about doing that...Thanks so much and I look foward to hearing from anyone:D :D
