Who all has this certification? Was the test difficult? How did you study? I am preparing to take this exam and using a study book I bought off amazon with tons of practice questions and some software. My unit also has some disks we are allowed to take to use to study but I REALLY don't want anyone know when I am taking it because I hate the pressure of people knowing when I am taking exams as then you have to tell them if you fail (only 2 people knew when I was taking my NCLEX which I freaked out for no reason it was an easy test). Also it costs almost $400 which my facility will comp ONLY if I pass. If I fail I am out that much money and we are tight on money right now. Just wondering for those who took the exam how terrible was it? Was it as easy as the NCLEX? ir way harder?

Hey there! I have not taken the test (though I plan to when I get my two years in November), so I can't answer your questions directly. However, there are a ton of threads about this topic already. A quick search should answer your questions and provide other information like study resources, etc.

Hello I have my RNC-NIC. A lot of the information was applicable to what you already do in a level III NICU, so the questions were easy to think through. With each question I thought " ok, what do I usually do at work" I studied from the core curriculum.

Thank you! Were there a ton of cardiac questions? And gases/lab values? I am going to create flash cards soon.

Hello, it has been so long ago I really don't remember I took it in '07. But I did make flash cards and I learn well by taking tests and made flash cards from the tests. I think the book I had, had some tests in it
