New job in NICU and pregnant

Specialties NICU

Hi everyone, it's been awhile since i've posted. I've finally graduated with my BSN and have a job in NICU (very happy about that!). I took the NCLEX a few weeks ago and passed so that is nice to have behind me. I am in the middle of a high risk pregnancy (have two preemies of my own 26w and 29w due to severe pre-e and a clotting disorder). Things are going very well this time...I am 28 weeks now. I'm doing lovenox injections and taking baby asa to hopefully maintain a healthier placenta and blood flow. My new boss has even agreed to let me start my orientation in January, and knew I was pregnant when she hired me. That was really wonderful. It will be exciting to start my new career in NICU (it's what I have wanted to do for 13 years now)!

Anyhow, just wanted to say hello again as an RN! :)

Specializes in NICU.

Congratulations on all accounts, how exciting!! :)

Wow, you have a lot going on! Congrats on all the wonderful changes.

Thank you!
