I am a current NICU nurse in the US, hoping to do international work in the future. Does anyone know if the RNC-NIC and/or CCRN are recognized internationally? Is one better to have when working in other countries?

I have no clue (both of those are US based certifications and RNC is more recognized in the NICU, but CCRN more recognized in nursing in general).
I am curious about your hopes to work overseas. Where are you hoping to go and through which organizations?

BabyRN: I'm currently thinking about Doctors Without Boarders or international travel nursing. Do you have any experience with nursing overseas?

Nope, but I'd love to. Can't do DWB because I don't want to be away from my husband for that long a period of time since they don't allow spouses. Plus it seems like I would be a jack of all trades and not specific to infant health from what I've read.
The only organization I've found (so far) to do international work with infants is called, "Helping Babies Breathe," an initiative to help teach midwives overseas and the lay community how to do basic resuscitation principles when you're not in a hospital.
