Specialties NICU

Published

I am writing this to all NICU nurses everywhere , but especially to the nurses @ Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne Florida. On June 21, 2005 @11:11am my daughter was born by emergency c-section 29 weeks and 5 days gestation . She was intubated and taken to the nicu where she was vented for 4 hours and then extubated and placed on cpap for a day and a half and has done wonderfull since . All the nurses in L&D, Mother/Baby were great to my wife and myself. But this is about Nicu . All the Nurses and staff have been so caring not just for my daughter but for my wife and myself. The loving care they have given to my daughter can not be put into words . The nurses have gone out of there way to accomodate my wife and I to see and spend time with our daughter . Everyone has made us feel comfortable in the unit and have done simple things like putting a quilt on the isolette . There are no words for the grattitude I have for everyone who have shown compassion, caring and love for my daughter,my wife and myself.I am very tired , and am at this time at a loss for words. There is so much I want to say.I get choked up everytime I look at my baby girl and the way she is cared for . To all the nurses @ HRMC and to all NICU nurses everywhere THANK YOU!!!!!! I am forever in your debt!!!!!
