volunteer at NICU

Hi. NICU is where I want to work once I become an RN. Does anyone know a hospital where I can volunteer for NICU in southern california (near valley,LA,or OC)? I prefer to be a cuddler. I have volunteer experience from Cedars Sinai Medical Center for like 6 months. Thanks!

Default Re: volunteer at NICU
I too want to be a NICU nurse, and I applied to volunteer at CHOC. There is a 3mo. wait to volunteer here, and I have gotten mixed responses as to what volunteers actually do once in the hospital. See my thread in "california" folder about CHOC/miller children's hospital.
I applied to be a nursing volunteer/cuddler and am expecting to interview in july/aug.
This hospital has a lot of options for volunteers, but it seems to be very popular, so I would send in an application for the position you want ASAP, and hopefully you will get called in for an interview!
