Sounds like fun! Anyone have any idea how much ChildMed charges for something like this?

Good article Kristi! Makes me remember the phrase, "Experience makes the best teacher."

Many times when making snugglies out of blankets I have considered how I could make one at home using a bunch of my blankets. Can you imagine how BIG the snuggly would be!!! LOL

Also, when I think of developmental care for preemies, I remember how large and loud everything was when I was a child. I can only begin to imagine how scary we giants are to these little preemies with our voices, lights, equipment and procedures. These little babies deserve our constant attention to make their little worlds as comfortable as possible in every single way.... Patent advocacy = developmental care...

Thanks for the link!

We brought "preemie for a day" to our unit. It was awsome! It is a very eye opening experience. I wish some of the people who have been in the NICU for 20 years would have attended. They don't seem to be a good at taking in new things! They say we've always done it this way, I say look at that 15 year old graduate walking on her toes.....
You can contact childmed.com they are all wonderful there! They will also be at the conference in Las Vegas.

How much did this cost- do you happen to know, or could you find out?

BTW, we've gotten their new pacifier holders, the ones with the stuffed duck or stuffed dog to hold the pacifier in place? LOVE them. Brilliant idea. Wish I'd thought of it!

I'd love to get this at our unit, but I fear it would be too pricey. Let me know if you have a roundabout figure. ;>)
