Thank you NICU nurses!

Thank you NICU nurses!

I work in the emergency dept and have had my share of mothers having premature emergent deliveries. I just wanted to say a big thanks to NICU nurses everywhere for the job you do. You guys are always there to help when we have sick babies and I just want to let you know I appreciate you. Recently I had a patient who was on crack and she had delivered her baby in a bucket and brought it to the ED with cord hanging out of her. The baby was still breathing. That was the worse code I've ever been in. The nurse from NICU was so great.

Right back atcha, cowpoke_rn! Sometimes I walk through that ED and think, "There but for the grace of God...." You have to have a serious head on your shoulders to deal with all of that!
