Skin Care

by RM-RN

Hello! This is SUCH an awesome website. I've been reading here for years, but have never really needed to post. Today is a new day.

I'm working with an NNP to revise our protocol for ELBW skin care. I'm looking for anything that anyone is willing to offer regarding preventative skin protection and wound care. Our wound care center is a little afraid of our floor, I think, and we seem to be fairly on our own. They've been as helpful as they can. I have been fortunate enough to get protocols from a couple of hospitals close by, and I'm just looking for....anything.

We currently use Vigilon for both wound care and preventative treatment. We've received a sample of the Cavilon (3M) that many places seem to use for prevention and/or treatment. And....that's about it.

Any replies would be highly appreciated...either to this thread or privately. Thanks!!!!
