Nurse Phones

I work in a busy unit where we are issued a portable phone for the day as nurses. What I am wondering is this-if you carry a phone for the day, what do you do with it when you are on break? Do you take it with you or do you leave it with someone else in the room? If you leave it do you hand it off to another nurse?
Thanks for the input!

We take our phones on break with us, if someone else in the hospital or a parent needs us, they need to be able to get a hold of us. The only place I don't take my phone is into the bathroom, I think that's gross.

I don't take my phone with me on break/lunch (that's my time). I take my lunch at 0300, most parents don't call then anyway

Sometimes we share phones in pods. I usually don't take mine with me to lunch unless I'm on admission and not sharing a phone.
