NIRS probes causing skin abrasions??

Has anyone had any problems with the NIRS probes (especially the renal probe) causing bruising or skin abrasions when taken off?? I had a 29 wk (1100 gms) with the renal probe on, it was DC'd and the probe had only been on for about 22 hours, skin prep was used prior to application of the probe, but when I went to take it off it was STUCK... I mean like seriously gonna take the poor kids skin off. I tried baby oil.... didn't work, eventually used adhesive remover (which I know isn't supposed to be used on premies, but i cleaned it off immediatley) and it still took off skin and left bruising.
The neo said he thought that it was because of the high humidity in the isolette (babe was on 70% humidity)

Anyone having similar issues, or any suggestions??

I don't really know what probe you are talking about...the only one we use is the temp probe and the humidity actually causes those to NOT stick.
