Thanks again everyone for the acknowledgement, and for indulging me in my passionate interest of pandemics and influenza.

Though some may believe that since the latest flu outbreak has been mild thus far in the US, the serious stance of the CDC and WHO was unwarrented. This is not a realistic assessment, imo. We learned much, and they did what they were supposed to do. All of the hard work and money that has gone into pandemic preparation and education globally is still crucially important. Influenza is a killer, and will always be with us in its season, and sometimes out of season as well. All eyes will be on what happens in the southern hemisphere as they move into their flu season. HHS and CDC admitted that we could be in for a rough time for it in the fall if Type A, H1N1 returns here as it is expected to do.

Again much thanks for allowing me to pursue my interest here, and rewarding me for it as well. Allnurses was the first forum that I ever posted on. I had much to learn about posting etiquette. I thank you for your patience with me.
