An Australian hospital was supposed to be exhibiting at the convention, but they canceled. I think that it was Queensland Hospital. I don't know why they canceled.

I think they might be talking about Boston in 2012. Next year is New Orleans, 2010 is Washington, DC and 2011 is back in Chicago. I heard some people talking about Boston... but I wasn't close enough to really hear what they were saying. Can the Hines Center accommodate 9000 people? That's how many were in Chicago. Plus exhibitors, so probably another 500.

Bear in mind that AACN is the group staging the event and they plan years ahead of time. The deadline for abstracts for next year's conference is June 1!

Nothing those Queenslanders do surprises me, Linda!!

Hey, you know we were in Spokane during our 2006 trip up/over! What a shame I didn't know you were there then. We have friend's living there. The husband is an aussie married to an american girl (woman!)

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't go back to the West coast in 2012....cause there hasn't been an NTI on the West Coast since Anaheim in 2006....I know a lot of the CA/WA peeps were complaining that airfare costs too much from the West coast to the midwest/east coast/ south areas of the US.

After I posted that and gave it a little thought, I reached the same conclusion....

Maybe they should try flying from western CANADA!! Then they'd have something to cry about. My trip cost me almost $3000 altogether and I may get some small portion of it back. I still haven't heard anything concrete from any of the funding sources I approached. Will it stop me from going to NOLA next year? Not for a heartbeat.

I visited the booth, thanks for the pens! The NTI was a great experience. I would like to return next year in Louisiana.
