I was wondering who got into NYU 15 months accelerated nursing program, with a gpa of 2.99 or higher in their previous degree, and with 3.70 or more in their pre-requisites? I want to compare to see If I still have a chance in getting in. Thank you.:imbar

- Dec 20, '09 by kdrose01I haven't applied to NYU, though I have attended one of their information sessions. They're very friendly and very helpful, so I think you should call admissions and ask about your likelihood for acceptance. They also put a great deal of emphasis on the essays, so they take into strong consideration your ability to write.

Feb 1, '10 by Genu9ineI applied, but haven't been accepted or anything (we have to wait until after the March 1 deadline) but my pre-req GPA is significantly higher than my undergrad GPA. I like the fact that the NYU essay, though it has many steps/essays, seems to be very well-rounded. You have to write a couple of short essays and a personal statement. I feel like if they should understand my desire to attend their program and join the nursing profession after all that...
