I am currently enrolled in school and focusing on my prereqs. I wold like to get some volunteer work under my belt. I would appreciate any info regarding volunteer programs in the Queens or Long Island area. I would especially love to receive feedback about the different hospitals and/or programs.Thanks in advance!

It's def a plus to have that on my resume and I really want to get familiar with the nursing field since my previous BA isn't science related.
- Nov 18, '11 by mauve whistleWhen I was in high school, I volunteered at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. I worked on the units mostly running errands and doing any tasks that needed to be done.
Another hospital you may want to consider volunteering in is New York Hospital Queens or the North Shore-LIJ system.
There are plenty of hospitals in Queens and Long Island. Many don't have the most updated websites, but you are able to find atleast a contact number for the volunteer department.
