Binghamton Applicants- BAT Fall 2013
Register Today!- by eca2493 Nov 16, '12Hi all,
I just submitted my application to Binghamton for the BAT program for next fall. Didn't see a discussion board yet so figured I would start one. Any other applicants out there?

- Nov 20, '12 by djp2469Hi eca2493!
I applied as well, although I'm unclear as to when the program actually begins. The application for BAT says Fall 2013, but I thought the accelerated program begins in the summer (sometime in May)? I guess we'll know soon enough!
Good luck! -
- Nov 25, '12 by lwalter2I applied to the 2013 BAT program too
did you guys apply anywhere else and/or know when we should expect to hear??
- Nov 26, '12 by eca2493I think we should hear by February/March.
I also am applying to Stony Brook's 2 year BSN program and Hunter's Accelerated program. -
- Nov 29, '12 by cbrubaker05I submitted my application, has anyone personally known anyone in this program? Or live in the area? I visited during the Fall Open House but I am from NJ. Just curious what it is like to live there!

I did my undergrad here and am about to graduate this fall. Feel free to ask any questions!
- Dec 1, '12 by eca2493Lwalter- how much would you say a room in an apt would cost? And would that be easy to find? Or rent in general.
Also- how difficult is Binghamton to navigate without a car? Is there housing close enough to campus and some stores that one could get by without? (i've heard it would make clinicals difficult but could be worked out with carpooling)
Thanks! - Dec 1, '12 by spiritedkiddHey fellow 2013 BAT applicants!
I also applied to Bing's BAT 2013 program. I know last year's BAT program started on like the last Monday of May, very close to June 1st, so expect the 2013 to start around the same time.
@eca2493: I did my undergrad at Bing (I just graduated this past May) and stayed off-campus for my senior year. Rent for apt ranges from high 200s - to 400 (on avg, I'd say maybe low 300s for most), but depends on where you find the apt, whether it's for just a single person or with other apt mates, etc. Binghamton has a bus system run by student drivers as well as the city buses (but those don't come as often as the student blue buses do). Based on previous posts that I've read, carpooling is a common (and frequently used) method of getting to clinicals. I dont know where the clinicals are held, but the 3 hospitals in Binghamton are all accessible by bus.
The only other school I applied to was Stony Brook's accelerated program because I didn't have the pre-reqs for any other NYS accelerated program
Hope it works out.
Good luck to everyone!!!
