I noticed this year there aren't that many applicants on the forum! I am very interested in the syna program. I know u have to give them 2 years after u graduate, which is great because you don't have to worry about finding a job! How was ur experience with the program?

Snya was one of the best things I ever did. I was soooo happy to be chosen or I would have paid Veeb out of pocket. I've never had a student loan. Snya put me in a 1199 facility n I used that to help finance my RN education. Snya staff were very nice. I still email Mrs LG from there now and again to thank her for the opportunity. Some of my friends are still paying LPN school loans and don't want another one for RN school. They didn't want to commit 2 years but time flies! I gave my place 2 years and 9 months and you need a solid place to get experience in the beginning.

I'm going to apply once I get officially accepted! Can't wait! I'm currently attending LIU prenursing program, I have all of my pre reqs, but don't want to wait 3 years till I graduate! The school is excellent but very expensive. I want to get my lpn and then hopefully work somewhere that will pay for me to get my RN.

Yes that school is so expensive. However, if you get into the RN program, you might as well AT&T there. VEEBs credits don't count And most place want a BSN now, which LIU has? What part of Brooklyn you live?

I live in Queens. I don't have 3 years to finish cause I go pt because I work. My plan is to leave my job once I get accepted to Veeb, and once I finish then go for my RN. My husband can get me thru VEEB, but LIU is too long till I graduate! And like I said I'm in the pre nursing program...there is testing and etc to get into the professional phase.

From what I read, they will basically pay ur tuition, but after u graduate u have to give them 2 years. Its like a reg job with benefits and etc...and the best part u can work ft/pt/ or per diem. But u have to work with them for 2 years. Only thing I'm not to sure about is if u have to had worked in the health care field prior to attending VEEB. That I have to look into. I think their web is syna.org

That's right. Snya told me in 2007 they want people in the med field. The reason is because they don't people who aren't in the med field to start and quit because they don't like it.

It seems like snya does not give help to NYC lpn students, did I read right?
