Has anyone heard anything about the two-year? Is anyone getting curious?

Paco, just wanted to let you know I still follow your advice on here. What a great resource you are to current, upcoming and interested students! You should work as a student advocate!! Thanks for all of your info, speaking on behalf of the site users, you are a benefit indeed!

Thank you kace! I really appreciate that sentiment. Too bad Stony Brook would never consider such thing :p ... but alas, I will continue to do it when I can just for the sheer enjoyment of it all ... (besides, just think, if I was paid to work for them as a student advocate, I would imagine I could not be as openly honest about everything as I am now [they would only want me to talk about the good], so in essence, there are things that money can't buy :D ...)

Haha, Paco... this is true. However, overall I think you display Stony Brook very well... even after reading the "constructive criticism," I am still excited to be a prospective student there. Speaking of, have you heard any update on two year admissions?? I have been waiting patiently since October when I submitted my app!!! :sneaky:

Hi Kace1234!

There is actually a separate forum for the 2-year program:

https://allnurses.com/new-york-state/stony-brook-nursing-797318-page10.html

Someone mentioned that via correspondence with Stony Brook, the 2-year decisions will be made by mid to late April : ( I'm dying in anticipation! Best of luck!

Hi Greeneggs! Are you on the fb page? If not you should join. We've been talking about the scholarship on there a little. No one has heard anything but Paco said we should all receive notice when the awards are decided. SBU was on spring break last week so hopefully this week is it!!

I'm just curious. Have any physician assistants completed the bachelors of nursing at stony brook? Sounds crazy.

Can anyone tell me what the stony brooks's pre req is for statistics? Is it intro to statistics or statistics? They offer 2 classes at the school i go to and want to make sure I enroll in the right class. Thanks!

either is fine. i went to the orientation for stony even after i got accepted and there were ppl interested in their program and they mentioned that as long as it has the word "stats" in it, youre good. courses like business stats or biostats are good. so i think either will be accepted!
