wow...really...i was told it was.

wow...really...i was told it was.

It is really confusing.

The NLNAC lists a "Saint Paul's Nursing School" on their website of accredited programs. However the New York State listing of programs does not indicate either Saint Paul's school being NLNAC or CCNE accredited. NYS Nursing Programs: Associates Degree

The NYS website was updated on 26 June 2014, so one would think it is the most accurate.

Think there maybe confusion with being a "member" of the NLN and accredited. Not sure but think it is easy to become a member but accreditation is another matter all together.

Exactly. This is where people go wrong. They'll tell you the school is accredited BUT under some other names. St. Paul's is not accredited by the NLN. When I went for my interview, I specifically asked about this. I was told "yes it is accredited...yes..yes" but I asked again, " is the school nln credited?" Real answer : No.

Take away point to remember about St. Paul's is that the schools are for profit. Simply put the jobs of everyone connected to those schools depends upon getting behinds in those seats.

My cousin who has decades of experience as a CPT went to Saint Paul's for an "interview". He aced their so called exam and from that moment on they wouldn't let him alone. Kept asking him to apply to the program and so forth, anything to get him to sign on the dotted line.

Am not saying the programs are bad, good or whatever. Just that as with all for profit schools you have to do some homework and research things very carefully. It is not unheard of for recruiters/admission persons to flat out lie to prospective students to these schools. There have been a slew of investigations not only in the news media but by the federal government. Peeps are told all sorts of things they find out after graduation just aren't true but by that time it is too late. They have spent their money and or are in deep debt (student loans) and now have few if any legal recourse.

All of that is too much to deal with. No one has time to take chances. That's why I decided to go elsewhere.

Where did you end up going?

Laguardia

ok..LA only offers day programs?

I might look in Jersey School of Nursing for other option...but i don't hear much from them either...

Really? SPSON is NLN accredited?!
