Which RN-BSN programs can be finished in 1 year?

Hey all, I'm getting my associate's in spring 2015. I have a bunch of extra credits in electives from other schools. I was trying to find out which nursing RN-BSN program can be finished the fastest.

I was able to get my BSN in 2 semester with summer off. But that was done taking 5 classes each semester. 90% of class was on line. Google RN to BSN program and you can get tons of info.

I'm enrolled in Stony Brook University's RN to BSN. I was able to get into the accelerated one year program, its full time and May to May.

Did they have clinicals at Stony's program?

WGU. All online, I've seen posters here state they've done it anywhere from 3 months-2 years.

I really want to do but I can't get over the paranoia that it'll hurt my chances for grad school someday. Can't shake it.

I know of people who have been accepted to graduate school as BSN grads. CRNA, NP, and PA.

However it may work against you that they default you to a 3.0 GPA.

Valid concern.

My gpa in nursing school was a 3.6, which I think is competitive enough for my plans - but I was hoping to bring that UP in my bsn, not down, I guess. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

The 2 main advantages to are how cheap it is and how quick you can advance. If you can afford to forgo those two options for a program that will graduate you with a higher chance into graduate school, that's what I'd recommend.

I doubt other schools will be a significant difference in time/price.

Specializes in Outpatient/Clinic, ClinDoc.

If speed is your issue, is pretty much it. I did mine in 3.5 months with 50 credits to do. Cost about $3400. Can't beat that. No guarantee that you can finish that quickly, but under a year is doable for sure with almost everyone if you have the time. WGU also has an MSN program and I've seen quite a few people accepted into higher education levels with a WGU degree. Yep, it's a 3.0 GPA. :)
