Phillips Beth Israel 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. New York

Published

In the process of putting together my application for PBISN 2013. Who else is applying? I'm curious to hear from current students and recent grads--what was your background? Your NLN scores/GPA? Thoughts on the program?

Good luck everyone!

Congrats to both of you!! How did the interview go if you don't mind me asking? I have mine on Friday :nailbiting:

Its more of a conversation than an interview. My interviewer was lovely and it took a little more than an hour and a half.

THe interviews are basically a very relaxed conversation. My advice is to relax and just be yourself. They will ask a few questions and talk about your essay a little bit.

Okay, that gives me a little peace of mind... Thanks!

uglyduckling and nmh1888, how did you find out the decisions? Did they contact you?

I emailed my interviewer.

Congratulation to all who were accepted. How exciting! I guess I won't be getting an interview. I knew there was a slim chance, but I would've loved the opportunity to speak with someone just to really talk about my past educational performance.

For Evadney77, current applicants, and future applicants, the thing about PBISON is that they look beyond GPA. Get a good score on the PAX and write a darn good essay, so you can have the opportunity to speak with an interviewer. I thought my chances were extremely slim, but I managed to nab an interview. It was nerve-wracking waiting for an interview and then for the first committee meeting to take place. I know its a daunting process, but stay strong and keep your chin up. If I can pull it off, you all can!

Uglyduckling is right, don't lose faith. just keep trying. I thought I won't have the interview, but I got it, and I will get the committee decisions tomorrow.

jnn- I emailed my interviwer the morning after the admissions commitee met and she told me by email and said I should be getting my packet in the mail in a few days.

I'm in! Found out via e-mail this afternoon. Congratulations to those of you who also received an acceptance! :) :)

Congratulations to all those that already heard about acceptance! I am moving to the city and will be getting an apartment in the Union Square/ West Village area. I would love to live with another student. If anyone is interested please message me.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.
