NYU BSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi everyone,

There was no forum for NYU BSN applicants, so I thought I'd start one. Hello, is there anybody out there?

Thank you so much! :D And yes, I did. It was under the ominous subject of "Your NYU Admissions Decision."

Good luck! :)

thanks!! i'm soooo nervous!

Aww, I submitted quite early, so that's probably why I heard back so soon. But don't fret, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Just found out I was accepted too! Congrats to you too, SamTansey! I sent in my application on March 1st, so I'm not sure if NYU is sending out admission decisions in any specific order. To everyone else still waiting, hang in there and good luck!

Thanks, and likewise, Kristinebean! :D

Oh my goodness! I received an email this morning and I was accepted! Good luck to everyone else! For reference I turned in my application March 1st/2nd!

By the looks of it once you submit your application you will find out like 3 weeks/a month after. Guess AI wont here till end of April......BIG SIGH

Congrats to the those have gotten in or atleast know your fate lol

Congrats SamTansey & Kristinebean! & shygstgurl!

do you guys mind sharing what you guys applied with (grades, gpa, reccomendations, where you guys transferring from) so i have an idea what i should apply with in the future? Thanks for any response in advance!

I got accepted as well!! I submitted my application on February 21. Good luck to those still waiting!

Aw, thanks so much! And not a problem. I'm a second-degree student so I'm coming in with a Creative Writing bachelor's that has a 3.4 gpa that I just got this fall from SUNY New Paltz.

My prerequisite class grades are:

AP 1 w/lab: A

AP 2 w/lab: A

Statistics: A

Microbiology w/ lab: A

Chemistry: A-

--Chem Lab: C+

And I'm currently taking Nutrition and Developmental.

I made sure my recommendations were from professors who knew me well and who I've taken multiple classes with. I had one professor from my english degree write one, and another professor from my prerequisites write one so admissions got a well-rounded idea of my academic background.

In my essays, I just basically glorified NYU as the be-all-end-all ideal school for me, so I'm sure that played a role lol.

Anyway, I hope this helped :)

Congrats, Mzungu! :D

I was accepted too!! I too turned in my application on March 1st...3.65 GPA, biology degree, healthcare experience with americorps, etc...Good luck everyone!!!
