NYU BSN Fall 2012

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi everyone,

There was no forum for NYU BSN applicants, so I thought I'd start one. Hello, is there anybody out there?

Specializes in MS, RN, FNP-BC.

Missjj,

I also applied on March 1st. Make sure your application is complete. If it is, then all you can do is wait. Good luck!

I can't seem to find the group anywhere...when I search FB, nothing shows up :(

"NYU ABSN Fall 2012"

Hey guys! I just got my letter. Yay! If you havent gotten yours, don't stress. I had pretty much given up thinking they send them all out at the same time. I have a question: ***Do you have to accept and pay the deposit before you see your financial aid award?** I tried to log into my albert account a few days after receiving my letter and couldn't.

Like all of you, I am incredibly excited but also REALLY worried about finances and how expensive NYC is.

Hi, Ktg80

I am in the same situation as you!! I was accepted on April 6th and submitted my deposit at the same time! but i have not heard anything from them except a bill of $500 on my credit card... I am not sure what to do next...

Hopefully we will find out soon!!!!:specs:

Hi Everyone! Does everyone know what they are doing for housing yet? I am from California and do not know the area at all. I called NYU today to ask about housing options and they said that we would be able to live on campus if we wanted and they would place up with undergrad upperclassmen. I was a little hesitant when they said this but they also informed me that they try to pair all of the nursing students together on the same floor. Is anyone else considering on-campus housing or are most people trying to find apartments around the city?

hi, congrats to those accepted.

i applied as a transfer student, no pre reqs yet, will begin this summer.

hoping to get accepted for spring, but applied mid february and haven't heard anything...

loosing hope here!

To let everyone know- I spoke to someone last week and he told me that we would be contacted in May or June and given info on registering for classes and whatever else we need to do to get ready. As for housing, I think the deadline to apply for on campus housing is June 1. I am in the process of looking for an apartment, but am from Texas and am having sticker shock. NYU has an off housing campus assistance office, but from the website it looked like a list of brokers. I not sure what all else they do.

It seems that the majority of people who received acceptances were chose the accelerated path. Am I right in thinking this? I applied early (Feb. 2) and still haven't heard anything yet (I applied as a transfer, regular BSN). When I called today, I was told that decisions could be mailed out as late as mid june! Also, would I be able to defer admission if accepted? I am working and need to pay the bills, but if I save up for another year, I will be good to go. NYU is super expensive, as all of you know.

Fingers crossed !

Congratulations on all those who got accepted!:yeah: Good luck to those that are still eagerly waiting for an answer:up:

Has anyone else out there still not received an acceptance or rejection letter for the accelerated program like me?!! I am starting to think there's no chance:/
