New requirements for NCC effective 2010

U.S.A. New York

I just went to one of their info sessions and thought this would be useful. For anyone planning to start the nursing program in 2010 and trying to finish all the non-nursing courses beforehand these changes will affect you:

1 of the prereqs is any math class but for 2010 it must be Statistics.

Currently you have a choice of taking Medical Micro or Integrated Basic Science, but for 2010 only Med Micro will be accepted.

They are also replacing Child Development with Human Development.

Good luck to everyone applying to thier program!

I agree with the change! Once in the program YOU NEED to be better at math than 101 or 100 courses. The math MUST be a priority before this program because its a priority in it! You'll see once your in!

It makes sense that they'd start requiring stats, because most BSN programs require stats anyway.. might as well get it over with. I almost wish I had taken stats when I was a LibArts student rather than just Math 101.
