Nassau Community College Fall 2012 Evening Program

U.S.A. New York

Hi everyone,

I know it's very late, but I just submitted my applications to both the NCC part-time evening program as well as the full-time day program. How long after you submitted your application did you hear back? Also, does anyone know if they'll transfer additional classes that have already been taken, or do they have to be taken with your classmates?

I am looking forward to speaking with others who are going to either of these programs! I haven't decided if I'm going to stop working and go full-time or if I'm going to go part-time in the evenings.

Ady1..i havent given up hope yet. I might actually attend because people are advising me to go to school. I did ask about switching but they said yes at orientation you can but the lady told me that I can't switch to night. But you know some people that want day now? Hmm... Also yes they did tell me that i was farmingdale eligible too. what does that mean though???

cpnessa09, I believe she said that you can take BSN courses while your in NCC completing your ASN and once finish you can go right into farmingdale with out applying. She also mention that they will send out a letter with further details.

Hey all,

I am a bit late to this thread but I was accpeted into the Fall 2012 day program at nassau. I was also accepted into Farmingdales Associates program and I am pretty torn on which to go to. A lot of people are telling me that Nassau is the way to go, I have already registered at Nassau, I am in section C. They told me I was Farmingdale eligible also which is a huge draw for me, because not having to go through the application process for the Bachelors program and knowing I am automatically accepted is amazing. Does anyone have any insight on Farmingdale over Nassau, or of this Farmingdale eligible thing?

Congrats to all who got in, and if you didnt dont give up, Last year I was waitlisted or rejected from the schools I wanted and this year I was accepted to two! Its a long precess but if you show persistence and that you really are dedicated it pays off!

Adi1 and Cpnessa09 I just recieved my acceptance letter for fall 2012. can you guys please tell me how your interview went. im really scared. what should i expect? if i show up to the interview (which i will) will i automatically be in the program or it depends on how my interview goes? please let me know!! your reply would be much appreciated.

HI dado...the interview process is just a brief orientation like speech by the chair. he tells you what you need to bring the 1st day of classes, uniform, books, etc. You have to define words and then write a 2 paragraph essay on a specific question. then they bring you into another room and tell you which section you are in, read your essay and thats pretty much it. At least for me, it wasnt bad at all. So yea I would say you are pretty much accepted. Don't be nervous and congrats!

Cpnessa09..Thank you!!

you are welcome dado...just wondering...when is your interview?

my interview is june 25th at 9:00am. im so excited and anxious at the ame time. i hope i get to register for my classes that day and pass the assignments that they give me.

I never heard anything from them, so I assume that they lost my application...

I had my interview yesterday. it wasnt really an interview like cpnessa09 said because there wasnt no one to one conversation except for the part where you sit with one of the staff in the school and they make sure you understand that you're going to provide your own transportation and that you havent been convicted of a felony and etc. So there was no need for me to be nervous afterall. but anyway, my section is C4...Mindylane, i dont think they lost your application. if you didnt get a rejection letter yet, that means theres probably one on the way but why dont you try calling the nursing department and finding out!

Hello All,

If there are any one going to the orientation on Tues Aug 14th, please can you let me know about it and what books we will need for the semester. I am unable to attend that day. The school is aware I am not able to make it, however I will like someone to let me know what happen and what I will need to know. I really appreciate it. Many thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

I was reading a few of your threads and got a little worried myself. I just received my letter of acceptance yesterday, I was happy as hell until I read about attending the interview which sounds to me like I'm not really in the program yet... My interview is on December 4, 2012 at 3:30pm... Does anybody know what they're going to ask ? Is there a test ? Is there a dress code ? This is my second time applying, I actually graduated in May of last year, I wanted to go to Adelphi but it's way to expensive so I chose Farmingdale. Farmingdale wants me to take chemistry and micro before I can get into the nursing program which is crazy so I thought why not give NCC a chance and get it done there instead... Any thoughts ? Oh by the way what does Block c or B means ?
