has anyone attended this program? i take the entrance test in april and i dont know what to expect. is it very hard? is this program any good?

Hi PIINK, if you want to apply for the Brooklyn, Manhattan or Goldwater schools, you would have to call either the brooklyn or Manhattan school in late October to find out if applications for the initial test is ready. Usually, the Goldwater school does not handle applications until you move on to the second phase of the process. You can also go to the website www.cnetnurse.com and click on the link marked NYC LPN 2010 , there you can download the intial application when it is available.

In any event, whichever route you choose to get the initial application from, they are not usually available until november of each year to process for the next lpn class. Hope this helps.

Hello,

Was anyone accepted to the Goldwater program? Does anyone know what comes after registration? I'm so anxious to get the ball rolling...lol. Any info is greatly appreciated :D

Have anyone ever been on the waiting list i was told the program was filled after getting my acceptance letter in July, and was told i had the ending of July to pay the registration fee only to receive a message that the program is full.

When i picked up my uniforms, i asked how much they would cost without the vouchers and i was told it would be $22 per set. I hope they tell us something about orientation soon and i would like to get the study materials i want to get a ahead start.

Is anyone going to the Brooklyn School?

Hey guys,

I contacted the school to find out about orientation and they told me that orientation will be on the first day of school.

Prospective nurse, thanks for the update. What about textbooks and other materials? I assume that will also have to wait till the first day of school to find out about those. I sort of wanted to get some reading in before class actully started.

Prospective, what school will you be attending?

Hello Nurseguy,

Yeah I know what you mean I was hoping to do the same. I will be attending the Goldwater Campus.

Does anyone know what kind of shoes we are required to wear the first day of school? Does it have to be shoes nurses wear in the hospital or can i wear regular sneakers. Does my sneakers have to be all white or can i wear any color?

Hello Nurseguy,

They didn't mention anything about specific shoes so I'm pretty sure you can wear any kind of shoes and any color. Good Luck it's coming really quick. By the time you know it we will be done and LPN's.:yeah: Lol yeah I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but I am so excited to start already.:lol2:

Take care

Hi prospective nurse, I called the school today and they confirmed what you said. They did say we will need 'clinical' shoes when we start clinicals and i would get more info then.

And you are right, i am so ready to start this program. I know it will be hard but i think we can do it. We have made it this far through the selection process and it was not exactly a walk in the park! Good luck to you at your school site.

Hi Guys,

To God be the Glory I knew i didn't go through all that testing and back and forth for no reason, Nothing beats prayer, I will be attending Mid-Manhattan in September.
