    Which dept are you applying to? I don't remember what the starting salary is, but it is more than the rest of the hospitals in Brooklyn. There is a raise coming in April. I was told that they were on a hiring freeze, but maybe it has been lifted? That I don't know for sure.

    I am interested in a medsurg unit or a unit that will be accepting new grads. I will be graduating in May so I am doing some research now.

    The salaries are determined by union contract. New grads get the base pay and applicable shift differential. Experience differential is only given to nurses with acute care experience i.e hospital experience. Average base salary is 65 to 67,000.
