Who else is taking the NLN this coming monday/tuesday at kingsborough? What are everyone's thoughts of science 25?? Any concerns, comments, questions please feel free to discuss them here. Future applicants feel free to ask any questions, too!

Cant wait until clinicals! Currently have a 3.97 prereq GPA, completed all prereqs except for bio 51. All A's, aside from sci 25 with an A-

I'm taking the NLN on Monday at 130. I'm more excited than nervous. I can't wait to get it over with so I can begin Clinicals this Fall. I also earned an A- in Science 25. I've been studying with the NLN Guide. I hope the questions are similar because I'm doing well with the book lol... looking over my Sci 25 notes. I hear it maybe the most difficult part. GPA is at a 3.3... Hoping it's good enough. .

Taking Bio 12 this summer.

Ill be taking it at the same time!! Did you get an email yet as of which room?

Good luck to everyone taking the NLN! I am a second year nursing student at KBCC's program, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Thanks nursingstudentjess! Do you remember how long it took after taking your nln to find out you've been accepted? The nursing counselors told us 2 to 4 weeks after taking the nln we show be receiving acceptance/rejection letters.

And what advice do you have to make first semester easier and/or less of a "shock"? Heard fundamentals is a beast of a class

I found out offically by letter on July 13, but there's a little trick! Periodically check your degree audit on Cunyfirst .. If your accepted your major will usually change a few days before you receive the letter ( it would say NUR AAS). The biggest thing I told people is to stay on top of studying, don't leave it to last minute! Testing is a whole new style, the questions are critical thinking analysis questions not recall so memorizing info will do you no good (except for lab values and some other things). It would be in your best interest to buy books with practice questions like fundamentals success or fundamentals reviews and rationales to get used to the testing style.

No, I haven't. I'm locked out of my email lol... Did you? I wonder how many people are taking the test.

Taking it too!. 3.6 gpa overall, A+ in sci 25. Im just super worried if my poor grades in an old college will hold me back :(.

I have an A+ in Psy 11, A+ in Sci 25, B+ in Bio 11 and B- in english. I pray this is enough.

speaking of rooms ,I have not been informed as to where we will be taking the test. Is it on the admission ticket?

I got an email this morning. They said go on the nln website and print out your registration ticket/number

Yep, got it.

By the way, I am going to be taking Bio 12 in the fall with the rest of my (hopefully) classes. Everyone is telling me that this will be a nightmare. You guys think so?

Bio 12 can be a lot. I took that this semester. Lab can be time consuming but what helped me was that I watched some lectures online before the start of this semester. Didn't have to study that much because of that. I'm kinda on the same boat as you because instead of bio 12,im taking bio 51 with everything. Lots of people strongly suggest not to doing that though, and put most of your energy on the fundamentals class
