Hey New Yorkers...

Question: Do nursing homes in the NYC area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, etc.) hire RN's with associate degrees? Do you guys know of any? Planning to get my NY license within the next few months & start with my online BSN program in January. I also start working next week at a hospital here in Jersey. Plan to keep my job here, but after a year or two I also want to find a per diem job in NYC at a nursing home at least.

Yes they do. Mostly for unit manager and sometimes house supervisor

Thanks for the reply! Manager/Supervisor? How about as a staff nurse? I'm not good being a leader haha

Yes. Most of the RNs are Associate degree nurses in the role of Staff Nurse/Charge Nurse. And the pay is good, too! GL!
