Concordia College - NY -2013

U.S.A. New York

Hi All,

I just sent off my application for Accelerated Nursing program at Concordia College for the fall of 2013. I'm really excited and nervous. I saw the thread for the fall 2012 was quite active and a few would-be 2013 students had posted to that one so I thought I should start a new one.

Anyway, I would LOVE to hear from any posters on the 2012 thread about how their experience has been going, anyone who is finished with the program, and anyone who is applying like me!

Thanks!!

I received my acceptance letter this past Thursday (approx. 2 weeks after the interview/writing sample)...Super-excited and looking forward to meeting my class!! Best of luck to all applicants!

Just got an interview.... March 11th. I am so excited!! Fingers crossed, hoping to meet you all in September.

Congrats on al those who have been accepted!! I hope I will see you in June during the orientation when( gotta have faith) I will be part of the upcoming cohort. If you all do not mind what where your grades and GPA? I was ok where the prereqs and GPA were concerned however I am still nervous.

For those who have been accepted is Concordia it or are you waiting for any other acceptances?

My interview is the same day. I wish us both great success!!!

PTK11,

That's fantastic.

Yay :)

Congrats to everyone on their acceptance. We should all keep in touch. Does anyone else besides myself and cnoel live out of state. I'm looking for housing options and I need some suggestion on affordable housing or renting a room.

Allow sending up prayer and best of luck to all waiting and interviewing.

Hi TK2U,

Congrats on your acceptance. I hope that I will see you in the fall. I live in Mount Vernon and I am around 10 minutes away from Concordia. There is affordable housing in Mount Vernon in the good ( safe and decent) areas. You could also live in Yonkers as well. Bronxville of course would be awesome but the rent there is much higher than in other towns and cities nearby such as New Rochelle and White Plains. Where you want to live would be dependent on whether you have a car or not and of course your budget. I do not have a car but I have lived in Westchester all my life so I know how to get to various places by public transportation.

All the best. Thanks for sending up the prayers. I too hope for the best. :)

@accelbsn12 I live in MV too! Interviewed on Thursday...waiting to hear. good luck at your interview!

I wish everyone good luck with your interview and writing exam. I am anxiously waiting for my admission decision letter :)

@lahhere. That is great. It would be awesome if I got in too. I have lived in MV all my life. I hope you hear the news you want. Did you attend MVHS? I graduated from there in 2003 and later graduated from Lehman College.

I guess this is your first choice as well since it is so close and convenient to home. I applied to other places but I have my heart set on Concordia.

Good luck!!!
