Hey guys! Has anyone else been recently accepted into the nursing program?

Congrats!! I was accepted too! Have you sent in your deposit yet?

Still waiting and hoping for the best.

Yes! I got my letter yesterday :) Let's keep this convo going...it would be nice to "know" some people once the programs starts!

Best of luck and fingers crossed to those who are still waiting

I'm still waiting too. When was your interview?

Congrats Lenabeth and wishing loads of luck to those who are still waiting!!

Congrats to you all!

I just got my acceptance letter too! I was not even expecting anything for another couple weeks! I'm so excited!!!

Where is everyone from? I'm in Queens and doing my last pre-req at LAGCC, so I'm accepted conditionally....pending my grade from Micro which should be fine.

where else did you all apply?! are you waiting on others first or sending in your deposit now!? I had 1 more application to do this weekend, now I don't know if I should bother!

anyone applying for financial aid? I know as 2nd degree students our options are mostly loans only... but anyone know anything more?!

Looking forward to getting to know more of you!

Hi guys! I was accepted too! I'm so happy beyond belief...

At this point, I'm not even bothering to apply anywhere else! I was also interested in the accelerated program at Pace University in Pleasantville. However, I've recently read some horror stories about Pace's program that made me re-think my decision about applying there. Also, they are also extremely expensive and their program doesn't begin until January. I really would like to just get started with nursing school asap! Plus I figure I wouldn't even waste my time and money applying to Pace because who knows when I'd hear back from them. Concordia's deposit is due in less than 45 days, so I'm really not going to look any further. Concordia was one of my top 2 choices so I'm thrilled with my decision to go there! I'm going to be sending the deposit within the next 2 weeks.

I'm from White Plains by the way, so I'll be commuting!

Congrats to everyone who's been accepted so far. Can't wait to hear back from the rest of you! GOOD LUCK :)

I'm in the same position Miss Mel - thought I would be sending in my PACE (NYC location) app this weekend, but the more I think about it I think why bother!

I had such a great experience at Concordia the day I visited, and have read excellent things on here, and their pass rate for the NCLEX is terrific!! I think I will be very happy to attend in Sept! It was in my top 2 choices. my only concern is commuting from Queens, it took me 20 mins with no traffic, but we'll see what peak hours are like... then there's always the option of moving closer!

I read someone's advice on another board to enjoy your summer!! Already thinking ahead to all the things I want to do before school takes over every minute!! and then it will be over before we know it!

fingers crossed for those of you still waiting!

Thanks, MMGF!

KatyCar and Miss_Mel, congrats! I'm excited to meet my fellow classmates!

Funny story, I applied to Concordia for Fall '11 and did not get in because, by the time they received my application, they had already filled their spots. They told me my application would automatically be considered for Fall '12 if I so desired. I had almost given up on BSN programs (even though I had only applied to two) and was applying to ADN programs when I got the call for the interview. I had totally forgotten that my app had rolled over to this year, but I could not be more excited that it worked out this way.

I live in the north Bronx and will be commuting, but my parents live in Mamaroneck and I think I will be spending many nights at their place because it's quieter and less distracting. My fiance has been informed and he's very supportive, thank goodness ;)

I already told my friends that this summer I need to get all the socializing and revelry out of my system. Hehe.

I have not sent my deposit in yet. I'm still trying to pull the $ together, which is no easy feat. I plan to make an appointment with the financial aid office once it's in so I can find out what my options are in terms of aid, but I have a feeling it's going to be all loans. Oh well, it'll be worth it.

If anyone would like to chat or perhaps arrange a meet-up, I'd be happy to organize. E-mail me at lenabethgoldstein at gmail and we'll go from there.

Again, GOOD LUCK to all those still waiting :yelclap:

Congrats to the people who got accepted! For the people who are waiting to hear back, I received my acceptance letter a week after my interview. The interview was extremely laid back they just want to make sure that you are committed to the program. Also, the writing sample was pretty straight-forward! If you guys have any other questions feel free to ask!
