College of New Rochelle Nursing Applicants

U.S.A. New York

Hello,

I applied to CNR for the Fall 2011 as a transfer student. According to the website, the deadline is May 21 but when do you find out if you are accepted? After you apply, you really don't hear anything from them again.

Can anyone share their experiences with CNR? Classes? GPA and essay when applying? (hearing feedback from a transfer student would be great but I'll be happy with any response that has accurate info.)

I believe I will have all before the start date, except that computer applications class...I'm doing A&P II in the summer

ughh this is the worst part!! Is everyone transferring in with all of their pre-reqs completed?

When I saw that someone wrote on the post..I thought letters were recieved already. Whew! Lol I should have all the classes by the end of the summer. Taking nutrition and general chem lab now. Sociology next summer session.

I received my letter today and I am proud to say "I've been accepted". This is conditional to sending or dropping off a $300 deposit on or before June 13th 2011. I am incredibly excited and ready for the hard work. Again, I live in New Rochelle so I was probably among the first to receive the acceptance letter. The letter was packed in a large envelope with a folder enclosed with the standard rules and financial aid documents.

I also submitted my completed application in mid November 2010, not sure if this is why the letter came so soon. Also, I applied for fafsa and other aid early, so maybe that why I received the large envelope with the folder enclosed, if you are sent a smaller envelope than mine I wouldn't freak, as I've seen others post that their acceptance letter arrived in a pretty standard envelope with not a great amount of paperwork.

Again I am so excited, good luck to all and I hope good news finds it's way to your mailbox soon, if you didn't receive it already. I have my fingers crossed for everyone else who is waiting on notification. Oh, and a big thanks to the admissions staff at cnr, who were so incredibly helpful since my interest and intent to attend this great school.

YAY @ IrishJohn :)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it !!!!

:crying2:I probably wont see a letter for another 4-5 days because I live in atlanta.

Congrats @ Irish John! I hope I get the good news today. I live in the North Bronx.. pretty close to New Rochelle.

Thanks so much !!! Any luck ? When my grandmother lived in the Bronx she always said the mail was unpredictable, and her neighbors sometimes delivered more mail to her from their boxes than the postman.

Hope you're out celebrating !!! Best of luck and keep me posted !!
